Back Pain

Research states that more than 80% of Americans will at some time in their life suffer from disabling lower back pain. Back pain is the single leading cause of disability worldwide, and 31 million Americans experience back pain at any given time. Back pain is one of the most common reasons for missed work, and the second most common reason for doctor office visits, outnumbered only by upper-respiratory infections.

The National Institute of Health (NIH) has reported that Chiropractic Care is a safe option for low back pain sufferers and is just as effective, if not more, than conventional medicine. Chiropractors should be one of the first specialists consulted when back pain is the primary symptom.

Back pain is very common and the source of the pain can vary from person to person. Some of the many causes of back pain include but are not limited to muscle strains, ligament strains, disc herniations, joint injuries, arthritis, scoliosis, posture, organs, and stress.
